Meet visually-impaired single father of 3 who is a talented vulcaniser

Kow Yamoah, also known as John Menyi or Kow Vulcaniser, is a hardworking vulcaniser with great experience and talent despite being visually impaired. A vulcaniser is someone who works with rubber in a process of hardening or strengthening it.

According to a video report sighted by Briefly.co.za on the YouTube channel of KNM TV, the father of three beautiful daughters mentioned that he is able to take care of all his children with returns he makes from his job.

He indicated that his wife abandoned him with the children when he went totally blind but that did not stop him from fending for his family.

Kow Vulcanise has become the toast of the town folks and the 'last stop' for customers because of the passion with which he works and the kind of service he renders.

He recounted an incident which happened around 1am one night when he was called upon to fix a flat tire on a car that was carrying a sick person to the hospital. Interestingly, the visually impaired vulcaniser has been able to employ another disabled person who sweeps his workshop for him.

Talk about turning lemons into lemonade. What an inspiring story of perseverance and hard work.
