President Donald Trump has cautioned Americans against a Joe Biden presidency and claimed that Biden's election would be tantamount to auctioning the US to China.
In a brief statement, Trump dismissed Biden as a corrupt leader who will close ranks with China's Communist Party and East Asia country will "own the US".
Trump, who is seeking re-election on a Republican ticket, unleashed the onslaught on Biden hours after ex-US president Barack Obama launched another scathing attack against him over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
In a separate story, Briefly.co.za reported that Obama is one of the influential leaders in the Democratic party who are campaigning for Biden.
"Joe Biden is a corrupt politician. He wants to send your jobs to China while his family rakes in millions from the Chinese Communist Party. If Biden wins, China will own the USA. When we win, you win, Wisconsin wins, and America wins! " said Trump.
Both Trump and Obama have recently been dragging the name of China in their campaigns ahead of the November 3 presidential election. During his Tuesday, October 27 speech in Orlando, Obama tore into Trump by claiming the head of state had secret account with a Chinese bank.
"We know he has a secret account with a Chinese bank. Can you imagine that? He is taking our money and taxes to China. Trump has only paid USD$750 in taxes. Social workers pay more than that," Obama said as Biden supporters honked car horns in approval.
Briefly.co.za understands that Trump has for the greater part of 2020 been on a warpath with the president Xi Jinping-led country.
The US head of state accused China of not containing the Covid-19 pandemic at source and allowing it to spread to the rest of the world. Coronavirus was first reported in the city of Wuhan in China in late 2019.
During the early stage of the pandemic, Trump stated that he was in good terms with China and was working hand in hand with President Xi Jinping to stymie the disease.
After the scourge spiralled out of control, Trump changed his tune and said the pandemic was China's fault and they (China) would pay for it.
He later accused the WHO of working with China to hide important information about the disease.
In a separate story, Briefly.co.za reported that Trump had written to the leadership of the WHO informing it that he was directing his administration to stop financial contributions to the global health agency.
