A Kenyan man living in Germany has entered The Voice singing competition in the European country after passing his audition with flying colours.
Eugene Asira took part in the blind auditions of the competition in which he sang Uliza Kiatu by Kenyan boy band H_art The Band.
One of his friends, Okello Max, shared his story on social media and posted the audition video, saying he was proud of his pal.
"This is my good friend @eugeneasiraofficial who is a Kenyan but lives in Germany. He made it to The Voice Germany and ooh I am beyond proud. He performed our very own #Ulizakiatu hit song by the coolest band in Kenya @h_arttheband and guess how many chairs turned - yes, four," he wrote in excitement.
Briefly.co.za checked Asira's Instagram account out and came across pictures and videos of him performing on the big stage.
With a strong bass voice, he was able to convince the judges that he was good enough and the choice of song was also perfect because of its originality, which the judges must have liked.
Asira is a fitness enthusiast and is married to a beautiful German lady. The couple is blessed with a sweet baby girl.
We will all be rooting for our fellow countryman and hopefully, he gets to the final stage of the competition.
Briefly.co.za was previously told of a Kenyan lady who competed in the Australian Big Brother competition standing a chance to win KSh 27 million.
