Jub Jub has announced that he will drop a remake of his classic hit Ndikhokhele. The media personality and rapper made the announcement during a press conference on Thursday night, 28 October.
The Uyajola 9/9 presenter revealed that the remix features some of Mzansi's most celebrated gospel artists. The new version featured the likes of Dr Rebecca Malope and Benjamin Dube, among others.
During the presser that was aired live on Soweto TV, it was revealed that the proceeds of the new record will be given to all the families that were affected by the tragic accident Jub Jub was involved in back in 2010.
The briefing was hosted by reality TV star Somizi Mhlongo-Motaung. It was also revealed that Jub Jub hasn't been able to reach out to the families of the children that became victims of the fatal accident because of his parole conditions.
Mzansi social media users, including media personality Tbo Touch, have reacted to the musician's big announcement. Check out some of the comments below:
Tbo Touch said:
"Great remix Bro @official_jubjub all these amazing artists @benjamindube @DrMalope oh man and #JubJubConference could only be home @SowetoTVchannel."
"Then they wonder why I say you're my role model."
"Heaven heard you. That remix. So proud of you. You are where God wants you to be. Be proud of yourself."
"I’m literally in tears watching this. May God give you all the strength you need in life. We love you."
"Thank you for making a great song."
In related news, Briefly.co.za previously reported that Jub Jub was sent for a night swim during the season finale of Uyajola 9/9. Many viewers of the show took to social media to share their views on Jub Jub's safety after one of the man they were investigating pushed him into the swimming pool.
Some people found the scene funny but more were concerned about the star's safety. The epic TV show busts cheaters but the star and his crew sometimes have to risk their lives to shoot some of the show's episodes. The episode proved just how dangerous the star's job is. One of his fans @wendywendy9813 wrote:
"I clap hands for you brother, you made it though it was hectic. Find more bouncers please on your coming show. Ngiyakuvuma uyenzile from your first day until today. I so wish you were going to be at Somizi's place (Dinner at Somizi's) this week. Be safe my brother, I adore you and your bouncers."
