Local boy sells burgers to fund soup kitchen for less fortunate

- Joshua's soup kitchen is still going strong and Mando Roos recently shared pics of him preparing hamburgers to sell

- The funds from the sales will go to help his food kitchen so he can carry on doing his good work

Manda Roos took to the Facebook group #ImStaying to post a story about a young boy called Joshua who is working tremendously hard for a good cause.

He is making and selling hamburgers, while most kids might be trying to raise money for the latest Xbox or Playstation, Joshua is raising money for a soup kitchen to help the less fortunate.

Those burgers do look delicious, Manda captioned the post with a touching message about what Joshua is doing.

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that a compassionate eight-year-old boy in Cape Town started a soup kitchen to help people who need it the most. Joshua makes sandwiches and soup for hungry children and their families in his community.

The project started last year when Joshua took the time to collect food and made goodie bags of treats for the elderly. Now, Joshua wants to help other children who don’t have regular filling meals.

In other news, a Johannesburg man is being praised after he spent his birthday feeding the homeless around the CBD. Letlhogonolo Motseeng shared images of his good deed to Facebook, saying that he met "amazing souls."

Letlhogonolo captioned his amazing post:

"Spent my birthday in the streets of Joburg CBD with these amazing souls. I had some good conversations with some of them, gave them food and masks. Now my heart is fulfilled."
