Somizi Mhlongo outshone the show again last night on Idols SA with another show-stopping outfit. When it comes to going big, Somizi does not know how to do anything less.
With last night’s episode of Idols SA being themed around show-stoppers, Somizi knew that he was going to sparkle. Planning his outfit for this theme was a delight.
Somizi wore a blue and black outfit that would catch your eye from a mile away. It had everything, from poofy sleeves to a sparkly corset, but it was his over-the-top personalised facemask that tipped the outfit over the edge.
Taking to social media with some pictures of his outfit, Somizi claimed his self-awarded prize with pride. Somizi thought his outfit was fabulous!
“@gertjohancoetzee did the things that need to be done....perfect outfit for @idolssa showstopper theme tonight.....@sistas_felas ur creatively amazing....this mask is on another level....thank u @tammytaylornailsdainfernsquare what a wow.”
While Somizi’s outfit was not everyone’s cup of show-stopping tea, no one could deny the fact that there really is no one else who could have pulled it off. Somizi loves to take fashion risks and he has made Idols SA that much more interesting.
@sifisosibeko: “Only Somsom can be like this. Yasss.”
@lavinlauren: “Somgaga's outfit was the showstopper of the night”
@bhengu_mbalenhle: “One celeb who bothers about a mask looking hot!!”
@ree77822: “Kodwa this outfit, you look absolutely phenomenal.”
Briefly.co.za previously reported that Somizi took to social media to show that the world is not such a bad place after all. He shared a story of how he helped a stranger who was stranded on the roadside.
Taking to social media, the Idols SA judge relayed the story of how he saw a woman stuck in the middle of a busy road on William Nicol Drive. He said that cars were just passing her by so he made a U-turn and went to ask her if she had received any assistance.
According to Somizi, her battery had died. Because Somz was wearing a cap, mask and sunglasses, the woman did not recognise him.
