Ed Sheeran's fans already adore him because of his lyrically-significant songs but the star keeps on giving people more reasons to respect him. Sheeran's charity, the Framlingham Foundation Trust, recently funded a primary school teacher taking an educational course.

The course provided specialised training for educators on how to cater to and teach music to children with learning difficulties. The training aims at equipping teachers with resources and tools to effectively enhance the musical arts for children who learn differently.

The musician has funded a number of charitable projects over the years, with a particular focus on children's needs and safety as well as programmes in the arts.

Sheeran has been very open about how his time at school was challenging and that he battled academically, which makes the symmetry of him helping similar children even more touching.

In other Ed Sheeran-related news, Briefly.co.za recently reported on the singer making a huge donation to the high school at which he met his current wife, Cherry Seaborn.

Ed Sheeran, international singing sensation and new dad, has donated R4.2 million to his old high school. The Daily Mail reported that Sheeran had donated the amount, which is £200 000 in pounds Stirling, for the school to use to improve equipment in the arts, music and science departments.

Sheeran is married to Cherry Seaborn, whom he met at Thomas Mills. The two attended the high school and reconnected later in life, with Sheeran maintaining he always had a crush on his future bride.

The high school's Director of Music and Head of Arts made a statement that expressed gratitude on behalf of the institution as well as how the money would be setting the school apart in the arts programmes that they are now able to offer.

Cherry Seaborn attended university in both the UK and the US where she got degrees in molecular biology and business studies. Ed and Cherry reconnected around 2015 and, after dating for four years, reportedly tied the knot last year. The couple kept the news private, as they do with most of their personal life events.
