South African media personality Sizwe Dhlomo has taken to social media to share his thoughts on Kanye West in connection with the ongoing US presidential race. The rich and famous US rapper entered the presidential race as an independent candidate.
The opinionated Sizwe took to Twitter on Wednesday, 4 November to share his two cents on the trending US election topic. Sizwe believes that Kanye's decision to run for the presidency was "irresponsible". Sizwe wrote:
"Kanye should be catching more heat than this. What he did was very irresponsible."
Tweeps have shared mixed reactions to Sizwe's post. Some support Kanye's decision while others agreed with Sizwe. Check out some of the reactions below:
"He used these elections to see how big is his reach. In 2024 he'll come with an arsenal of support. The Kardashian family will probably use their combined influence in his favour."
"Everyone is free to pursue their happiness and have free thoughts. Kanye did what he thinks is right for him and his family."
"He is playing with the fate of a whole country and to a certain degree the world."
"Hai leave Kanye alone, we have people voting COPE this side, but we remain mum. Kanye is a believer, if he believes 50k votes may increase in the next elections, then let him be, he is starting small. Biden and Trump are racist anyway."
"Kanye was just used by Trump to sway black voters away from Biden, plain and simple. He was used and probably knows it and got compensated for it."
In related news, Briefly.co.za reported that Kanye West has conceded defeat in the ongoing US presidential election. The rapper had entered the presidential race as an independent candidate. The election has become a two-way race between President Donald Trump and former vice president Joe Biden.
The superstar took to Twitter on Wednesday, 4 November to share that he is now eyeing the 2024 election. The disappointed Kanye shared a pic of himself walking past the 2020 election results map. He captioned his post: "WELP KANYE 2024."
Kanye had earlier told his fans on the micro-blogging app that he voted for the first time in his life during the 2020 election. He shared that he voted for himself.
"God is so good. Today I am voting for the first time in my life for the President of the United States, and it's for someone I truly trust... Me."
The Washington Post reports that while Trump is projected to win the state of Florida, Biden insisted early on Wednesday that "we believe we’re on track to win this election".
"It ain’t over till every vote is counted," Biden said.
