American rapper Meek Mill is among social media users who are not entirely impressed with the show of support by some Africans for President Donald Trump.

The rapper recently reacted to a viral video clip that captured a procession of Nigerian citizens who hit the streets singing praises for the US president.

Although the video has been going around on social media, Mill appeared to have come across it after the president posted it on his official Twitter page. In his caption, Trump noted that it was indeed an honour to have a parade led on his behalf in the West African country.

Mill’s comment attracted different reactions from Nigerians on the social media platform.

One tweep said:

"Why can't Africans make their own decisions without being called brainwashed??? If they love the man let it be!! It’s a democracy right?? Everyone is free to love & support whomever they want!!!"

Another Twitter user who responded to his comment wrote:

"I don’t seem to understand how the poor reasons in Nigeria. They are always the ones in the forefront of unreasonable things, channelling their energy towards things they have no business doing. Where were these people during the end sars/swat protest?"
