Ms Cosmo shares body image battle: Happiness is a state of mind

Ms Cosmo decided to share her body image story with her fans. Seeing how many men and women go through the struggle of not loving themselves, Ms Cosmo wanted people to know that she too was once there.

Taking to social media with a brave and transparent post, Ms Cosmo explained how it took her time to love herself and appreciate her body. While Ms Cosmo has lost some weight, it was her mind-set that allowed her to be free of that weight.

Ms Cosmo explained that her gynaecologist had put her on a pill that had made her gain a lot of weight. This is an issue so many women all over the world are facing but are not sure how to face.

“Last year I went through the most via my body. My Gynae put me on a contraceptive pill that made gain water weight. In the beginning of the year, I wasn’t really sure what the weight gain was cos I was gyming every week, on a super clean eating plan and I quit drinking.”

Realising what this pill was doing, Ms Cosmo decided to change it and was able to get herself back not only physically but mentally too.

“But still I put on the extra kilos Weary face at some point it made me so self-conscious and awkward about the things I put in my mouth. Only to later realize that it was the pill. I changed it at the end of last year and I’ve happily gone back to the girl I think I am!”

Ms Cosmo wanted to share her story to create awareness and to also let people know that happiness is not a body size, it is a state of mind.

“I’m not perfect, but definitely more confident and watching what I eat, coupled with some exercise (even though I’m still lazy for the gym Woozy face), I manage with netball. Small things can throw you off course, it’s up to you to find your path back to happiness.”

Briefly.co.za previously reported that Boity is on a mission to lose weight and sis is focused. The media personality took to social media to share that she has shed seven kilos so far.

While that may seem like a lot, the Bakae hit maker says that she still has six more kilos to go. Boity has been vocal about wanting to get her body snatched.

She confessed to having put on a bit of unwanted grams but has been working very hard to shed them. A follower on Twitter recently asked her how much weight she wanted to lose.
