Fans who have been anticipating the release of AKA's Braai Show will have to wait a little longer before they can watch the first episode.

The show was unceremoniously bumped from its original debut date without explanation. The show was scheduled to premiere on 5 November but just the day before was announced to have been moved and replaced by Throwback Thursday.

The 13-episode series follows AKA chatting fireside with some of Mzansi's most well-recognised celebrities.

Channel24 reported on the delay and moving of the episode to a week after the scheduled premiere. At the time of the change they quoted executive producer David Phume saying:

"Television stations change schedules for a variety of reasons. At this stage we do not know why SABC 1 has made changes to their schedule. As such we eagerly wait to hear from SABC 1 about a new time slot for the show."

The new date for the first episode to be aired is 12 November.

AKA is on fire right now. Hot off the drop of his new EP Bhovamania, the rapper has also announced a new flavour of Cruz vodka. Although he did not reveal the name of the flavour, the yellow colour of the bottle had a lot of fans guessing.
