While many brides dream of extravagant weddings and having all of the bells and whistles they could ever imagine, not all brides can afford the hefty price tags that come with all the glitz and the glamour. "We hired a little chapel that cost us something like R2k, our 23 guests paid for their own meals, a family friend took pictures, my mom made my dress, I did my own make up, I did my own nails, I didn't even bother with my hair because I refused to place myself and him under so much pressure just for it to be the way society expected it to be and look," she wrote.

She then went on to explain how she and her man were well provided for by God months after the wedding and even during the harsh reality that is Covid-19. Stayers thanked her for the heartwarming post.
