- An interesting Malaysian Nando's competition is going viral in South Africa
- The competition entails getting no likes or retweets on one of the tweets made by the Malaysian Nando's Twitter page
- South Africans - who seem unbothered by the location of the competition - are hilariously taking part in the challenge
Nando's Malaysia recently announced a creative competition on its Twitter page. Taking to the app, they asked Nando's fans to retweet a ad of theirs and achieve no likes or retweets to win a voucher.
"Quote tweet this tweet and get 0 likes, 0 RTs and 0 comments by 8pm tomorrow. Winner gets a Nando's voucher on us! And maybe we'll throw in a little more surprise," they wrote on their timeline.
South African Nando's fanatics seemed completely unbothered by the fact that the competition was in fact based in Malaysia, rushing to take part in the competition. While many South Africans shared the tweet in a bid to win the free voucher, a lot more were left laughing out loud by the craziness of it all, heading to Twitter to share jokes.
Read a few of them below.
"I am in the same timezone as Malaysia and only about a 5 hour flight from there... So I am pretty sure they could deliver to me. It's been too long since I've had Nando's."
"Loool straight nje. Nando's is messing with us."
"Nando's must do this more often... we don't care if it's Nando's Malaysia or what."
In other hilarious Briefly.co.za news, Nando's is back at it again with their absolutely hilarious tweet replies. This comes after a Twitter user known only as @isalakotshelwa posted that they were selling chickens online. All that's needed is an electronic money transfer and the chickens will be sent in your direction.
The Nando's SA team wasted no time after @isalakotshelwa's tweet went viral. They replied on the same day the original tweet was posted with a comment that has left Mzansi rolling on the floor.
@isalakotshelwa's original tweet has over 4 000 likes and over 1 000 retweets. Nandos SA's tweet now has almost 7 000 likes, almost 2 000 replies and over 300 comments. The retweet read:
"Now that Tops is open, bo "take it or leave it" are coming for us."
