- Mmusi Maimane recently took to his Twitter page to once again throw shade at an ANC official
- Maimane tweeted a picture of Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga as well as a poorly-constructed school that allegedly cost the country R22 million
- South Africans quickly headed to the comment section to complain about the current leaders, sharing in each other's disappointment
Mmusi Maimane and throwing shade go together like peanut butter and jam. This is why it is unsurprising that the former DA leader once again took the opportunity to shade our country's current political leaders - the ANC party.
This time at the centre of Maimane's shade was South Africa's Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga. Maimane shared a picture of Motshekga and alongside it a report about R22 million spent on a school that looked like it was never touched, falling apart on all sides.
The post, which he captioned, "The minister. The work," received thousands of reactions. Many South Africans soon headed to the comment section where they expressed disdain at the country's leaders.
Read a few of their comments below.
"Can we change the game at least. This system hasn’t been working since 1994. This democratic system is failing. I am certain you too know that we don’t have options. DA is very much not an alternative, nor is the EFF."
"You politicians are all the same, because even you Mr Maimane you will do the same if given a chance. You all after money, all of you."
"She never qualified for this job anyway, she was never fit for it. Why y'all are acting all surprised as if you're disappointed in her?"
In similar Briefly.co.za news, Mmusi Maimane did not hold back in a recent tweet about Zimbabwe's first family, the Mnangagwas. Taking to Twitter, the ex-DA leader made it crystal clear what he thought about them following a recent gold smuggling scandal.
In the tweet, Maimane accused the family of lying about whether or not they were involved in attempting to smuggle six kilograms of gold out of the country last month. He went on to say that they are "corrupt to the core".
"I know a rotten lie when I see one. It’s very clear that your family is corrupt to the core @edmnangagwa. First the Chiadzwa diamonds went missing, now your gold smugglers have been caught. Africa is cursed because of leaders like you. Sies," he wrote in the controversial tweet.
