Nomzamo Mbatha recently spoke out about her decision to move to America and leave her beloved country behind. While South Africa will always be her home, Nomzamo knew that she needed to make the big move in order to grow her career.

Sitting down with Sizwe Dhlomo on Kaya FM, Nomzamo opened up about her move to the US. Making it clear that Mzansi is her home, Nomzamo highlighted that her career seems to be taking her all over the place these days, and sometimes even bringing her back home.

Having to leave her family and friends behind was the hardest part for Nomzamo but it was now or never in terms of her career growth. Nothing will ever replace what Nomzamo has in Mzansi.

“Obviously this is home you know what I mean, I have my family, I have my core friends here.Hhowever, with my career I’m everywhere so I’ll always come home for project base and obviously we have some things that I’m producing with Bomb Productions so that’s pretty cool.”

Nomzamo is a Mzansi girl who is making an international name for herself and we couldn’t be more proud!

Briefly.co.za previously reported that Nomzamo Mbatha has taken to Instagram to share a throwback photograph in honour of her late sister. The star posted a lengthy caption and childhood photograph in tribute to her cousin that was as close to her as a sibling.

Nomzamo lost Carla in 2014 and has been a vocal advocate for mental health ever since. The actress has made it a goal to ensure less people suffer from depression in silence and reach out if they are struggling.

The post showed Nomzamo and Carla as little children, the two are posing happily for the camera and look as thick as thieves.
