Hijackers get more than they bargained for from smart civilian

An unknown lady showed her quick-thinking as she escaped from a group of attempted hijackers. A video of the incident was shared to Twitter by @uYesuKrestu, which showed the lady driving into her yard.

A group of hijackers followed closely behind her before getting out their car and approaching her vehicle. The fast-thinking lady reversed her vehicle into theirs. The hijackers ran back to get inside their vehicle again.

The lady continued to reverse into their vehicle at a high speed, knocking their car into a different direction on a nearby pavement. The hijackers then got out of the car as she continued to knock it. They abandoned the vehicle and fled. The unknown lady narrated the video.

In similar news, Briefly.co.za recently reported on two armed civilians who apprehended an alleged hijacker. A video uploaded to Twitter shows two armed civilians apprehending the man on the side of the road in Durban North.

The two civilians were armed and had their guns trained on the suspect. The closest civilian kicked the man to the ground as the security officers approached to restrain him. As the security officers turn their backs to fetch something from their car, the suspect tried to stand up and was immediately brought back to the ground by one of the civilians.

Twitter user, @Sizwe1m, said in response to the video:

"Good job, we are the ones who can stop crime if we can unite. It's stupid to disregard this. We know that these robbers can even kill to force you out of the car. I applaud this one, excellent work."
