Itumeleng Khune and his wife Sphelele are going strong after 3 years and have taken to social media to celebrate the important milestone in their relationship.
Sphelele posted in a picture on Instagram and captioned it:
“Three years of loving each other down, Forever to go. Happy Anniversary my love.”
Itu slid into his wife's comment section and dropped the comment:
“Here’s to more years wifey.”
In the past, haters had said that the couple would not last, with Sphelele lashing out at them.
“We are quietly watching them. They said 'it won't last, I am giving them six months', but look at us now, married and expecting,” she replied on her Instagram Stories.

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that after the match between Bafana Bafana and Sao Tome and Principe which the national team won 4-2, Itumeleng Khune congratulated skipper Thulani Hlatshwayo on his 50th outing for the national team.
He posed for a photo with the captain who wears his Bafana Bafana shirt with pride.
Khune captioned the photo with the following:
"Congratulations on your milestone skipper [Thulani Hlatshwayo]. There’s your reward for all the hard work you put in. Enjoy every bit of it."
In other news, Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune is back on the bench. Although the player is fit to get back on the field, coach Ernst Middendorp has decided to stick with Daniel Akpeyi - for now.
Khune made his first appearance over the weekend for the Glamour Boys after nearly six months of being off due to injury. However, Middendorp is not quite ready to let go of his Nigerian golden boy who has had a fantastic run in recent days. He will be heading the goals when they face Maritzburg United in an Absa Premiership clash at FNB Stadium this weekend.
