A South African lady has shown that hard work and determination do pay off. @Thembi_Khoza17 (Thembi Khoza) shared before and after pictures of her home to Twitter. In the before picture, her home appears to be built with very unstable materials.

It appears that her home was built from corrugated iron. The front cover outside her main door is being held up by wood. In the second image, her house appears to be much more stable with a far stronger foundation.

Thembi captioned the post: "2019 vs 2020. Muhle uNkulunkulu." Many tweeps agreed as they sent in congratulatory messages and well wishes.

In similar news, Briefly.co.za recently reported on a community that built a house for a struggling family. South Africa is known for its close-knit communities that would do anything for each other. A post by Butho Vuthela Highly Favoured on Facebook proved just that and showed the amazing spirit of Ubuntu we have in our rainbow nation.

Mzansi thirsts over women's selfies and it's not even her account

According to Butho, a community with the help and support of Facebook friends and family was able to build a home for a struggling member of the community. They managed to build a sturdy and beautiful home for the lady and her children.

Butho said it would be the first time the lady and her children would be living in a "decent" home. This definitely shows how Saffas come together for a good cause. Butho shared this amazing story to the #ImStaying group on Facebook.
