In the shoe world, few are as recognisable or as widely referenced as those made by the French designer Christian Louboutin. The high-end footwear is favoured by celebrity clientele and has been a status symbol since their release in the 1990s.

It's no wonder that one of Mzansi's most fashion-conscious celebrities is a fan of the brand. Somizi debuted his latest pair of Louboutins on an episode of Idols SA and fans went gaga for Somgaga's footwear.

The shoes in question are the latest sneakers from Louboutin and have been fondly named "The LoubiShark" for their design mimicking the teeth of a shark. The pair of shoes also cost a whopping R15 000.

Like Cardi B says in her song Bodak Yellow, "These is red bottoms" when referring to pairs of Louboutins, Somizi's sneakers also display the signature red on the sole of the shoes.

Fans could not get enough of the bold Idols SA look and took to social media to comment on Somizi's shoe choice:

The book has been cleverly titled Somizi’s I Am Not A Chef and is a simple cookbook that allows fans the chance to recreate some of his favourite dishes. Good old soul food.

Taking to social media with the utmost pride, Somizi announced his cookbook. The official drop date is 26 November and Somizi cannot wait for everyone to get their copy.

“Finally the cookbook is about to be released.”

Somizi has a limited number of books ready printed for pre-order but has warned that they will go quickly and that people need to get their orders in if they don't want to be disappointed. Somizi is ready to break records with this book and already knows his fans will make it a success.
