2020 has seen many parents forcibly locking down with their little ones and having to find new ways to entertain and educate them. Recently though, there have been more opportunities to bond with kids in places other than the house and musician Kabelo Mabalane made the most of that.

Kabelo posted to Instagram about taking his daughter on a coffee date. The daddy-daughter time was spent with his little five-year-old, Zoe, who smiled for the camera and looked happy as can be.

Kabelo wrote in his caption of the photo with his baby girl:

"Coffee date with my Zozo. She’s five and what comes out of that mouth has me floored most times. i.e “Daddy don’t shout at me, speak to me like a normal person.” There is no comeback from that."

Speaking of dads, Briefly.co.za recently reported on how seriously President Barack Obama takes his role as a father to his two girls and how he did not want to repeat his own father's mistakes.

Former US President Barack Obama did not want to carry forward the sins of his father when his two kids Sasha and Malia came into his life. He grew up with an absent dad and felt the repercussions every single day. That was not a life Obama wanted for his girls.

So he made a decision to be better, more present, more involved and more active in the lives of his princesses and wife, Michelle Obama.

In an Instagram post, the father of two said despite running a country for two terms, he always made sure he sat down for dinner with his family. It was a tradition he did not want to default from and Obama always found a way to be at the dining table at 6:30pm.

“The fact that my own father was largely absent from my childhood helped shape my ideas about the kind of father I intended to be. When Malia was born, I made a promise to myself that my kids would know me,” he wrote.

The 59-year-old said living above his office made everything easy and he would quickly dash off to his residence when it was time to be with his ladies. The former leader of the US added that he and his girls always caught up on how their day had been and he loved seeing Malia and Sasha grow into intelligent young women.
