Mshoza's love life was the subject of a lot of scrutiny and scandal. After going through a dramatic divorce, Mshoza looked for love again, leading to not one but two more legal separations. Briefly.co.za takes a look at the late star’s troubled relationships.
1. Jacob Mnisi
Mshoza was first married to the businessman Jacob Mnisi in 2007 and had two children. The marriage ended in 2011 after reports of both being unfaithful. The marriage was rocky, even with their R3.5 million home in eMalahleni (Witbank).
Mshoza attempted to take her own life following a spat with Mnisi. A source close to the couple said Mshoza left her home, saying she wanted to see her doctor in Johannesburg for her skin treatment. But instead she went to the house of a friend, who was hosting a party for her child, and then partied in Soweto with another man for the weekend.
Mnisi allegedly found out and decided to end their troubled relationship.
2. Thuthukani Mvula
Mshoza met and later married Thuthukani Mvula in 2017 but it did not last long. She first said that her husband had allegedly been physically and emotionally abusing her.
She stated that he had kicked her out of their home in KwaZulu-Natal’s Bergville region and that he had sent out hitmen. Mvula was also still married to another woman whose name was being reported as Duduzile Mvula. The previous marriage had ended but their divorce had not been finalised.
Briefly.co.za learnt that Mshoza set the record straight about her tense relationship with her then-mother-in-law, Lindiwe Mvula. Mshoza admitted that as a family, they faced problems, but she was adamant that those were normal issues and she was working hard to improve the relationship.
Mshoza said there was a lot of false information in the media about her relationship with the woman known as MaKhoza. Mshoza said while they didn’t always see eye-to-eye, she had nothing but respect for MaKhoza.
She would leave Mvula and go on to date police detective Tlhabe Mbhele and Mamelodi Sundowns defender Anele Ngcongca.
3. Prince Dlamini
In February, it was reported that she had married for a third time in a private ceremony where family and friends gathered to watch her tie the knot with Prince Dlamini, a businessman from the East Rand.
However, that did not last long. The star split from him. She reportedly confirmed the news of her separation from her hubby. She swiftly moved on with Nigerian singer and producer Oluwa Kuwait, who stays in Cape Town.
The media personality, whose real name is Nomasonto Maswangayi, allegedly passed on in a hospital in Joburg on Thursday morning. The details of her death had not yet been released at the time of publishing.
Her passing was first announced by industry peers such as Khanyi Mbau and Phil Mphela.
