Cardi B just does not stop winning. She just became the first artist in history to win Favourite Song in the Rap/Hip Hop category at the AMAs twice – guuuuurl, ain’t nobody got a thing on you.

The American Music Awards took place this past weekend, 22 November, and Cardi B stole the spotlight again.

Winning Favourite Song in the Rap/Hip Hop category for the second time, Cardi B made music history. Cardi B is proving that female artists have what it takes in the hip-hop scene.

The first time Cardi B won the award was in 2018 with the track Bodak Yellow and this time she scooped it with WAP, which features Megan Thee Stallion.

Taking to social media, Cardi B announced what an absolute honour it is to make music history and that she couldn’t have done it without her fans.

Cardi B had no idea she was going to take the award. Sis planned a dentist's visit and everything.

“Thank you guys soooo much. Me and Meg really appreciate all the love from fans ,celebs everybody that supported the song. Also thanks for voting. Ugh if I would have known all this was going down today I would of [sic] rescheduled my dentist appointment. I’m so swollen.”

Briefly.co.za previously reported that Cardi B has received some heavy backlash after being named Billboard’s Woman of the Year 2020. People feel Cardi B is not deserving of this award as she is definitely not the cover girl for woman empowerment.

Having absolutely no chill, Cardi B silenced the "crybaby" haters by giving them a piece of her mind. Cardi B feels there is no need for people to be losing their minds because she received a title they feel she is not deserving of.

Taking to social media, Cardi B posted a video on Instagram of herself wearing a bathrobe and headband whilst serving some spicy words to those who have had something to say about her recent win.
