Gates, who is the co-founder of the Microsoft Corporation, has a nett worth of $127.7 billion. The figure would have been much higher if he hadn't been donating massively to charity over the years.

He was unseated as the world's richest man in 2017 by Jeff Bezos, who still maintains the position. Gates has given away more than $27 billion through his namesake foundation since 2006.

Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported that Gates shared a throwback picture of himself and his father, who died of Alzheimer’s disease. William H Gates II was a lawyer and philanthropist who died on September 14, 2020.

According to Gates Jr, nearly 40 million people around the world have Alzheimer’s disease or dementia today. He said he would not wish for anyone to watch their loved ones go through such an experience in life.
