There have been reports of hail in various parts of South Africa recently and although it's a rather damaging natural occurrence, some people tend to enjoy it. While the usual thing would be to collect the hail and take pictures, one man shared a unique idea.
Siyabonga Zodiac Cele shared an image of Savannah ciders laid on top of a large amount of hail. It's sort of a make-shift freezer. Siyabonga didn't specify whether the image or the idea was his, he simply said, "After hail. Only in SA."
This innovative usage of the hail pieces was shared to the #ImStaying group on Facebook recently. Stayers loved this idea and many shared that they'd be doing the same if it were to hail again soon.
The above shows the amazing innovation South Africans tend to come up with. We really do make the most out of what we have! Briefly.co.za went through the #ImStaying post's comment section to see what some Stayers had to say.
Sondile Makhula Ngeliviki Mahlalela said:
"Only my beloved Sata African can pull this."
Shiela Womswati Dhlamini wrote:
"We love Mzansi."
Lollie Gogo Mahlasela Mofokeng commented:
"Even load-shedding can't bring us down."
Cathy Rossouw added:
"Jip, South Africans are very clever."
In other uniquely Saffa stories, Briefly.co.za recently reported on a few men having a drag race with wheelbarrows. One sees the craziest things online. One such crazy thing is a short clip of a couple of men having what seems to be a drag racing show - with a wheelbarrow. The video was shared in Facebook's ImStaying group recently.
In the clip, one man vigorously spins the wheelbarrow on the sandy ground while the other guy watches in amazement as the wheelbarrow leaves dust rising from the floor. Evidently so impressed with the wheelbarrow, the fully-clothed guy even throws himself on the floor.
Facebookers and Stayers were left simply shook at the spectacle. But they clearly loved it, liking the post nearly 2 000 times. They also shared it a whopping 673 times. And those who really really enjoyed it headed to the comment section to share their thoughts.
