Nurse shares before and after pics showing how hard Covid-19 has been

An American nurse named Kathryn (@kathryniveyy) shared how the stresses of being at the forefront of Covid-19 healthcare have been treating her. She joined in on the "How it started, how it's going" challenge and the pictures she shared showed just how much she had been under an immense amount of stress.

Kathryn shared a picture of how she looked when she started her career as a nurse and how she looks now. There is a stark contrast between the photos, in the more recent picture she looks drained and extremely tired.

She followed up with a series of tweets after she posted the images, giving further explanation:

"I love being a nurse. Didn't exactly expect to be a new nurse in the middle of a highly-politicised pandemic but life comes at you fast and even in a pandemic, there's nothing else I want to do," she said.

Nurse Kathryn also shared how caring for sick people is an honour to her and she treasures her patients.

"It is devastating to watch people die when those deaths were avoidable and it's even more devastating when you watch them die the same way, time after time after time," she added.

Kathryn went on to say that Covid-19 is a brutal disease and she wouldn't even wish it on her worst enemy. She encouraged her followers and said that by following safety protocols they were not only protecting themselves but also the people around them.

In other news Covid-19 news, Briefly.co.za reported that R&B singer Jeremih was taken out of the ICU after a Covid-19 health scare. American singer and songwriter Jeremih has been transferred out of the intensive care unit after he was taken to the hospital after contracting Covid-19.

The singer's family told TMZ that he had been removed from ICU and was sent to a regular hospital ward.

According to Jeremih's family, this is where his "true healing" is going to take place. The singer received lots of support from people in the industry after the news broke, including an encouraging message from rapper 50 Cent. Producer Metro Boomin also sent his regards on social media.
