Master KG is still flying the South African flag very high. The award-winning musician has been nominated at this year's Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards. The Jerusalema hitmaker got the nod in the Best African Act category.
The Limpopo-born musician will compete with the likes of Davido, Burna Boy, Wizkid and Tiwa Savage, among others. The nominees for this year's MOBO Awards were announced on Tuesday, 24 November. The ceremony will take place on 9 December.
The Mzansi artist took to Twitter on Tuesday to ask his fans to vote for him so he could bring the Best African Act trophy home. He also shared that he was excited to be part of the MOBO Awards. He wrote:
"Nominated at this year #MOBOAwards Damn so blessed to be part of this."
"I won another trophy yesterday ICON of The Year At The SA Style Awards which makes 8 awards in 3 weeks."

In related news, Briefly.co.za reported that Master KG scooped the prestigious MTV EMA award for his hit song Jerusalema. The Jerusalema hitmaker thanked his fans from all over the world for the incredible support.
The hit track won an award for the Best African Act, beating South African duo DJ Maphorisa and Kabza de Small, Nigeria's Burna Boy, Uganda songstress Sheebah and Gaz Mawete of the DRC.
Rocking a bandaged look, the singer performed In Your Eyes featuring legendary musician Kenny G and Save Your Tears. The songs feature on his latest album titled After Hours. The awards ceremony took place at the Microsoft Theater but The Weeknd performed at a bridge in downtown Los Angeles just a few blocks away from the venue.
