Not to mention an author of a widely talked about book, even if it might not be for the best reasons. One thing is for sure, Queen B is no stranger to success.

And lucky for us, she decided to share her tips on how to become successful:

1. Different is good: find your uniqueness

So many times we want to emulate someone successful when the real key to success is finding what makes you stand out.

And stop listening to what society says is acceptable, do not let social norms cause you to lose your uniqueness.

2. If you fail to plan, plan to fail

Bonang quoted Benjamin Franklin by saying "planning minimises the effect of life happening to you".

Planning is one of the most important elements of success. According to French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, a goal without a plan is just a wish.

3. Be prepared to work hard

Nothing would just happen, you must work hard towards your goal. One needs to constantly work towards mastering your craft.

4. Make success your responsibility

People have got to let go of the entitled attitude, because the reality is the world does not owe anyone anything.

Your success would be dependent on you, and no one else. When you work hard enough towards something, you would eventually get your big break.

Just as Bonang said, "luck is preparation meeting God halfway."

5. Believe in your worth

This step is really important, because if you do believe you are not good enough, you’ll end up standing in your own way.

Having confidence in yourself is an important key factor in one’s success. Coming to a point where you are worthy to succeed, would help break through the ‘impossible’ barriers.
