Somizi Mhlongu entertained fans at an impromptu performance from the sliding door of his car. He danced provocatively and sang while holding a glass of what looked like wine or Champagne.

He is on a high at the moment after launching his cook book, Dinner at Somizi's: I Am Not a Chef and the recent revelation that he will be opening his own restaurant next year, one of many he promised.

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that Somizi Mhlongu announced that in June next year his restaurant will open in Parkhurst and it will be a small intimate venue that sits only 30 tables.

He promises that this restaurant will be the first of many and will be an experience for his patrons.

The Parkhurst restaurant will feature a cocktail bar and from Somizi's description, it will be quite a powerful feature.

In other news, Somizi Mhlongo celebrated his cookbook Dinner at Somizi's: I Am Not a Chef at the launch of the book with a host of celebrity friends.

Somgaga held the event in honour of the release of the cookbook, which is officially out in December, and was joined by his husband, Mohale.

The personality took to social media to post about his launch and gave a specific shout-out to his beloved hubby for being so supportive.
