Thembi Seete is one of the most loved and best-known celebs in the country, but even she has faced her own self-confidence demons.
The former Boom Shaka star recently opened up about her own journey of self-discovery and working out who she really was.
"The journey of self-discovery started when I was young. I went through a season where I did not understand who I was, I was so confused. I remember asking God why he created me this way," she said.
Briefly.co.za gathered that it was during this time, which Thembi decided not to give a damn about what other people think. She said she decided to dance when she wanted to dance and would not act in a certain way just to please people.
Thembi admits to not living the perfect life and says she still makes many mistakes.
"I'm not perfect and I make a lot of mistakes. And probably I step on other people's toes without even realising that I am doing it. But you know what, the noise has to be about my work and nothing else," she said.
Thembi says her experiences ultimately helped her during her portrayal of Bongi on Rhythm City and also helped her to fulfil her goal of becoming a radio presenter.
