"Andile Lungisa is a joke."

@CharlieLanga added:

"Disgusted but not shocked by Andile Lungisa's early release from prison, we saw it happen with some rich and politically connected guy from Durban. Prison is for ordinary folks."

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported on Lungisa's parole. The Department of Correctional Services has confirmed that Lungisa has been released on parole in a statement, explaining that he will be serving the remainder of the sentence in the system of community corrections.

Lungisa will be expected to comply with a specific set of conditions and will be subjected to supervision until the sentence expires. Due to this being Lungisa's first offence and the politician responding 'positively to rehabilitation programmes', this parole was made possible.
