- The Idols SA shared that he will be turning 48 years old on December 23, much to his fans' surprise

Somizi is more than excited to ring in December, not only is it the festive month but it's also his birthday month. The media personality is keen to turn 48 and can't wait to turn up with his mates.

Taking to social media, Somizi posted a picture of himself looking particularly good and captioned it:

"Its my birthday month.......23 December to be precise....turning 48.....yessssss 48......"

Meanwhile previously reported that Somizi Mhlongo entertained fans at an impromptu performance from the sliding door of his car. He danced provocatively and sang while holding a glass of what looked like wine or Champagne.

He is on a high at the moment after launching his cook book, Dinner at Somizi's: I Am Not a Chef and the recent revelation that he will be opening his own restaurant next year, one of many he promised.
