Somizi is having one very busy 2020. Not only did the Idols SA judge recently bag a TV show, he also released a book and now he's about to drop a song with his bestie Vusi Nova.

Taking to Instagram, Somizi shared that he and Vusi have recorded a song titled Intandane (orphans) and it is dedicated to mothers, both alive and in the spirit world. Sharign a snippet of the powerful song, he said:

Social media users had mixed reactions to the announcement and took to the comments section to share their thoughts.

Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported that Somizi Mhlongo entertained fans at an impromptu performance from the sliding door of his car. He danced and sang while holding a glass.

He is on a high at the moment after launching his cook book, Dinner at Somizi's: I Am Not a Chef and the recent revelation that he will be opening his own restaurant next year, one of many he promised.

He simply captioned the post with the word: "Lit."

It definitely looked like he was having some serious fun.

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that Somizi Mhlongo announced that in June next year his restaurant will open in Parkhurst and it will be a small intimate venue that sits only 30 tables. He promises that this restaurant will be the first of many and will be an experience for his patrons.

The Parkhurst restaurant will feature a cocktail bar and from Somizi's description, it will be quite a powerful feature. In other news, Somizi Mhlongo celebrated his cookbook Dinner at Somizi's: I Am Not a Chef at the launch of the book with a host of celebrity friends.
