Coach Gavin Hunt has said that his team Kaizer Chiefs are lacking a certain cutting edge needed to bring back their former glory. Hunt was heard saying this after Chiefs scored a 1-0 victory against Cameroonian side PWD Bamenda in Limbe.

While the team will now go on to play at the second leg of the CAF champions league that will be taking place this Friday at the FNB stadium, Hunt does not seem to think they are doing enough in terms of scoring goals.

Speaking to the team's media team after the match, Hunt said that he had thought it was important for the strikers to attempt to score more goals than they currently are. He did however mention that he thought they were physically fit and quite capable of a more pleasing performance.

Briefly.co.za previously reported that Coach Gavin Hunt of Kaizer Chiefs has expressed his confusion by a goal that was disallowed during a Kaizer Chiefs and Swallows FC. The match took place on last Tuesday evening at the Dobsonville Stadium.

Chiefs subsequently lost to the Swallows having had a final score of 1-0. A disappointed Hunt however feels like the decision to disallow a goal made by Daniel Cardoso may have been an unfair one.

The goal was disallowed after it was assessed that Cardoso had fouled Swallows goalkeeper, Virgil Vries while scoring the goal which if it stood, could have resulted in a much happier ending for Amakhosi who have now extended their losing streak to 5 matches.

Speaking after the match in a SuperSport interview, coach Hunt expressed both disappointment and confusion at the disallowed goal, citing that he was not sure why the goal had been disallowed.

"This loss serves us well. I've been saying time and time again that we need to start playing development players. These old crocks are tired. We've been using the same players for the past 6 years, what exactly have they brought?"
