Mzansi social media users have slammed the trailer of a new movie starring local actors Siv Ngesi and Linda Mtoba. The trailer of the film titled American Dream was shared by entertainment commentator Phil Mphela on Twitter on Wednesday, 2 December.
The movie will make its debut at Ster-Kinekor cinemas across the country this coming Friday. The movie directed by Nigerian-born Elvis Chucks, also stars Michael Blackson and Wanda Morganstern.
Tweeps took to Phil's comment section on the micro-blogging app to share their thoughts on the trailer. The majority of them slammed the trailer for its "poor quality."

In other entertainment news, Briefly.co.za reported that Mlindo The Vocalist has taken to social media to apologise for his trending video. A video of Mlindo seemingly drunk is doing the rounds on social media.
The Macala hitmaker took to Instagram on Wednesday, 2 December to share a statement apologising to his fans about what happened on Monday night. He was in the middle of his performance at an event in Soshanguve when he suddenly fell and had to be carried off stage. In the viral video, Mlindo can be seen totally out of it and being carried off stage by a bodyguard.
"I would like to sincerely apologise to my supporters and everyone for everything that took place in this past weekend. I will not get into details but I take full responsibility of my actions, and I will not blame it on anyone but myself."
The star promises to behave when he goes out to perform next time. Mlindo added:
"I will be better and act better next time."
