Spotify added more statistics that showed the reach the Limpopo-born artist and his hit song Jerusalema, which features local vocalist Nomcebo Zikode, had in 2020.

The 140 million streams were from 18.5 million listeners and the song was listened to over a period of 9.6 million hours across 92 countries.

The streaming service sends yearly summaries to its users containing each person's most-listened-to songs and artists. It's become common practice for Spotify users to screenshot and post their summaries to social media to compare theirs with others' results.

Many of Master KG's fans did exactly that in order to show the artist the small ways in which they contributed to his milestone. Fans responded to his tweet with screenshots of their summaries and congratulated KG on his good news.
