The 45-year-old has been struggling to breathe after a cancerous tumour developed on her face.

Briefly.co.za gathered on Saturday Luthuli was given a cheque for R100 000, which would lift the burden of some of her medical expenses and transport costs.

“She came to my office for help. I am so happy that she will be able to see the necessary specialists and get help. I am thankful for what Sandile has done,” said Mayor Gumede.
