- Bonang Matheba has explained why she has been so quiet recently and the explanation is quite innocent
- She revealed on Twitter that she is on holiday and apologised for being so quiet
- The last time Bonang posted on Instagram was on the 25th of November and people began to to get worried
It has been all quiet on the western front, almost complete radio silence from Bonang Matheba, which is surprising as she is one of South Africa's most popular celebrities.
Fans were growing anxious, nay, worried even that something had befallen the beloved personality.
She took to social media to put their minds at ease with a simple but informative post:
"...I'm on holiday. Hence the silence. Askies."
We have to remember that being a celebrity is hard work and everyone deserves a break once in a while. When was the last time you took a break?
Her fans missed her so much that they called for her to go live to get their fix of the celeb:
Others had more pressing concerns on their minds.
The last time she posted on Instagram was on the 25th of November, which is an eternity in the social media universe.
Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that Bonang Matheba announced that the MTV Africa Music Awards will be returning with a ceremony in 2021.
Queen B was the host of a press conference and announced the news on behalf of MTV Base and MTV Africa.
The MTV Africa Music Awards, or MAMAs, celebrate and reward the very best talent that African countries have to offer. The ceremony will be broadcast virtually, on BET Entertainment and on MTV affiliate channels when it airs next year.
In other news, Bonang Matheba is disgusted at the state of the social media streets. Seeing all the trash floating around has really made her feel some type of way – it’s nasty!
Taking to social media, Bonang let the people know how disappointed she is in some of the behaviour she is seeing. Social media does not give you a free pass to be absolutely rude to others, especially for no good reason.
Bonang has zero-tolerance for bullies and she is not afraid to confront them either. At a time where so much is wrong in this world, Queen B cannot understand why people would choose to be nasty to others.
Posting on social media, Bonang made it known that the social media streets are filthy and some cleaning up needed to be done.
“...this place has become filthy. So unfortunate...”
