- Refilwe Modiselle shared her thoughts on the Idols SA finals and got some shade for it
- While Refilwe adores Zama, she just doesn't feel that she is going to make it to the final round of the competition
- Many got hella annoyed with Refilwe for saying this but she gave the backlash right back to them
Actress Refilwe Modiselle got slammed for the outcome of Idols SA so she took to social media to defend her thoughts. It is nothing personal, honey, it is business.
The Idols SA Season 16 finale is approaching and fans are getting a little high-strung. Refilwe has had a few fingers pointed at her but she refuses to take any of it.
Taking to social media, Refilwe let the people know that while she is a big fan of Zama, her heart lies with Mr Music and Brandon in the finale.
This has nothing to do with the person Zama is, or even as a singer, Refilwe just feels the other two are stronger contestants.
“I love Zama with all my heart. She's vocally strong, but I think final 2 is going to be Mr Music & Brandon. They fought hard on vocal plus performance. They are showing their hunger strong.”
Fans took to the comment section to share their thoughts. While some agreed with Refilwe, there were those who felt differently and believe Zama should be in the finale.
“I'm happy it's your opinion, coz we the people vote for who we love, and you will see Zama on [sic] finals.”
“...I'm glad you say think, cos Zama is definitely in top 2.”
“Last time Luyolo was loved by people and later he relaxed. The judges told him that he was too relaxed, he then did not win. I love how Mr Music is pushing and my vote goes to him, followed by Brandon of coz.”
Refilwe was having none of the backlash though and let those sticking up for Zama know that she is not competing with them and that they should chill. Refilwe merely gave her opinion, at the end of the day it is up to public vote.
“We can beg to differ & that's perfectly okay. I'm not taking anything away from Zama at all, I'm just saying her not being able to get out of her shell could [sway] votes otherwise.”
Briefly.co.za recently reported that Idols SA had announced that their Top 3 contestants' new songs are charting on Apple Music.
The singing competition took to Facebook on Monday morning, 7 December and congratulated Mr Music, Zama Khumalo and Brandon Dhludhlu for charting in the Top 4 on the music streaming platform.
Mr Music's Ngikhethe Kahle is at Number 2, Zama's song titled Ndizobizwa is at Number 3 and Brandon's Uhambe is charting at Number 4.
