1. Early life

Nicki Minaj was born in the Saint James District of Port of Spain and raised in Queens, New York. Her real name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty. She gained public recognition in the US after she dropped the mixtapes Playtime Is Over in 2007, Sucka Free in 2008 and Beam Me Up Scotty in 2009.

2. Debut album

Nicki dropped her debut studio album titled Pink Friday in 2010 after Lil Wayne signed her to his Young Money Entertainment in 2009. The project peaked at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart and was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The body of work also yielded Minaj's first Billboard Hot 100 top-five single called Super Bass.

3. Acting career

Outside of rap music, Nicki's film career has included voice roles in the animated films Ice Age: Continental Drift which premiered in 2012 and The Angry Birds Movie 2 in 2019. The stunner has also bagged supporting roles in the comedy films The Other Woman in 2014 and Barbershop: The Next Cut which was released in 2016.

Nicki has also been nominated for 10 Grammy Awards.

5. Business ventures

She has has a prominent line of fragrances that were first launched in September 2012. She partnered with 'Give Back Brands' to introduce her first fragrance called Pink Friday. The fragrance was nominated for three 2013 FiFi Awards for Fragrance of the Year, Best Packaging, and Media Campaign of the Year.

6. Family

In December 2018, Nicki began dating her childhood friend Kenneth "Zoo" Petty. They filed for a marriage licence in August 2019. The Your Love hitmaker announced that they had officially married on 21 October. In July 2020, she announced on Instagram that she was expecting her first bundle of joy. Nicki gave birth to a son on 30 September, 2020.

In other entertainment news, Briefly.co.za reported that Master KG has dropped a new banger featuring DJ Tira and Nokwazi. The Jerusalema hitmaker's new song is titled Ng'zolova. The award-winning musician released the track on Friday, 4 December.

The dope single is taken off his upcoming album called Jerusalema Deluxe. Master KG shared on Instagram on Thursday night, 3 December that the 14-track album will officially drop on 18 December. This is not the first time that the Limpopo-born musician has worked with DJ Tira on a song. In 2019, Master KG produced Tira's hit song titled Thank You Mr DJ.

Mzansi music lovers have taken to Twitter to share their views on the world-renowned DJ's new song. Most of them have expressed that the track is a banger.
