Mzansi radio personality Criselda Kananda has just been honoured to the greatest degree by the University of Zululand. She was awarded an honorary doctorate by the university.

Receiving an honorary doctorate does not come easy. Criselda’s endless contribution to the South African entertainment industry - and our country as a whole - over the years has resulted in this amazing accolade.

Taking to social media, Criselda expressed her gratitude whilst sharing the amazing news. This is a level of recognition many don’t even dream of receiving.

Criselda has been so moved by this that she cannot believe it herself. She is in absolute awe of this honour and feels endlessly blessed to have been awarded an honorary doctorate.

“I’m just at a loss for words that I was chosen and honoured for serving humanity. It was never easy but so worth it. Honorary degrees are reserved for those individuals who have contributed immensely to society.
"The holders of honorary degrees are often pathfinders. Before an honorary degree is awarded, citations and demonstrable achievements are presented to the appropriate committees of a university.”

Criselda has always been open about her status and aims to educate others on how to live positively.

The former radio host recently took stock of her life and realised that, despite things not being one hundred percent in her business and personal life, she is still incredibly grateful for still being here. Criselda is still determined to serve the community and spread love everywhere she goes.
