Paying lobola is something worthy of celebration to many South African men as it shows honour to age-old African customs. A young man recently headed to his Twitter page to celebrate the fact that he had just paid lobola for his bride.

@RamereKgobe took to his personal page to share the news with his followers by also posting a picture of himself and his bride-to-be along with their family who are all dancing happily as they celebrate the successful negotiations.

"07•12•2019 I finished paying lobola," he captioned the stunning Twitter pic.

The post quickly blew up, receiving over 12 000 likes. Many locals also took to the comment section to both congratulate the couple and to compliment the young man on the beautiful picture.
