9-Year-old Businesskid is taking SA by storm 1 bottled water at a time

- An ambitious 9-year-old boy recently started a water business after his community had been left without water for days

- Soon he was thinking up a solution that will help quench everyone's thirst and his bottled water business was born

- Speaking in an exclusive interview with Briefly.co.za, Bathabile explains the difficulties he has had to overcome to get his company started

Bathabile Mokomane is a bright young boy with an even brighter future. The youngster recently started up his own company with the hopes of both helping his community and the rest of South Africa.

In an exclusive interview with Briefly.co.za, Bathabile's mom, Yulanda Mokomane explains how the idea to start a bottled water business came to her nine-year-old ambitious and determined young mind.

"He came up with the idea during the lockdown when we did not have water for 2 days. He told me Mommy I think I found my business and it will help the whole world because we can not leave without water. "

She then explains how she helped him save every bit of money he got for the December holidays and other monies that were meant to keep him entertained while the country experienced a nationwide lockdown.

"Every January we start a saving box at home and the money is used during the December holidays when school is closed for his entertainment."

While they managed to save enough money to start the business they still had challenges in terms of branding and finding a uniques logo and design that would suit the business perfectly. Not for long as his mom helped him find someone who was willing to help him create his very own labels.

When asked about his dreams for his future bright little Bathabile says:

"Mommy I can't wait to see my water also being sold like other brands of water".
"From early Grade he always speaks about working for Airways and running his own business," his mom says happily.

In other Briefly.co.za news, Benathi Makiyela is an ambitious young man with both a passion and natural talent for creating something out of nothing. The young South African student and entrepreneur has opened up with Briefly.co.za about his successful tyre recycling business.

"I started recycling tyres in 2017 with my friend Malwande Prince Mgotywa, who has since moved on to start his own company while I have since formally registered my company this year, he explains.

Benathi then goes on to explain how he was faced with a number of troubles with getting his tyre recycling business off the ground and on to the right and successful path. Juggling school and the business, finding the right team, and marketing his business on a broad spectrum are just a few of the issues he was faced with.
