It's all fun and games: Gigaba caught playing Candy Crush while Ramaphosa was being elected

On Thursday, just a few hours after Jacob Zuma announced he would be stepping down as president, the National Assembly elected Cyril Ramaphosa as the new head of state.

But, not everyone took the the meeting seriously. South African Minister of Finance Malusi Gigaba seemed to be busy with more pressing matters.

News24 posted a photo of Twitter, which showed the finance minister busy playing Candy Crush while Ramaphosa was being elected.

Immediately after the picture was posted online, South Africans expressed their disapproval over Gigaba's lack of interest in the election of a new president.

However, there were those who thought the game playing situation was funny and not at all a big issue.
