Ramaphosa starts 1st full day as President with early morning walk as he prepares for SONA

Cyril Ramaphosa started his first full day as South Africa's President with an early morning walk along Cape Town's Sea Point promenade.

A man, Greg Shaw, took a short video of Ramaphosa as he greeted him while walking past, Briefly.co.za gathered.

eNCAnews shared the video on Facebook, where it elicited excited reactions from social media users.

Many commenters praised Ramaphosa for being mindful about his health and for his easygoing character.

Later during the day, Ramaphosa was pictured putting final touches to his State of the Nation (SONA) address, which he will deliver this evening.

He also did a dry run of SONA proceedings accompanied by new First Lady, Tshepo Motsepe, and Speaker of National Assembly, Baleka Mbete.
