A local man recently headed to Twitter to share that a house had just been completed for a local grandma and her grandkids. In the heartwarming post, @lemdzabu thanks everyone who played a part in the project.
The post also features a picture of the home that the gogo will now occupy with her loved ones. There is also a picture of the rundown hut that the old lady used to live in and in the caption he explains that they will be working on similar projects in the future.
"We finally did it. Thanks to all those who donated into this project. A grandmother and her grandchildren have their dignity restored. We are going for another project soon. We hope to receive the same support. We won't stop until everyone has his/her dignity restored," he writes in the caption.
One proud Mzansi resident @MsutfuNcamiso had this to say:
"God bless you and all who contributed to make this happen."
In similar touching Briefly.co.za reports, being able to spoil your parents is a blessing, a blessing which a young South African woman can totally relate to. Taking to Facebook's ImStaying, Dimpho Ntomby Khumalo - Ntombela shared a picture of the fridge she had just bought for her mom.
"I didn't have much to show how grateful I am for having my mom after my dad passed in 2017... It wasn't easy as I wasn't working I had a broken ankle and was in and out of hospital now and again but she was there.
"Last year November I had an opportunity to work as a contractor at a book shop didn't pay much but I managed to save the lil I got to surprise her. Combining my salary and grant money I managed to get her this," she wrote.
