Trevor Noah believes that former US president Barack Obama needs to be careful of who he roasts in public. The Mzansi-born comedian shared that people that Obama roasts end up running for the US presidency.
The Daily Show host shared that President Donald Trump and rapper Kanye West ran for the presidency after Obama made jokes about them. The star asked Obama if he's going to be more careful about who he roasts going forward.
"I say this because you roasted Donald Trump. He ran for president. You roasted Kanye West. He ran for president. So, I don’t know if you noticed but you have an ability to inspire people to run for the highest office in the land, with some of the jokes you tell about them."
Obama jokingly shared that he will now star roasting people he admires more so they could also run for presidency.
Social media users have shared their thoughts on Trevor's opinion. Check out some of their comments below:
"Funny clip. It’s always a pleasure to see Barack Obama. I love the Obama family or the idea his presidency was revolutionary. Black folks have been having anxiety about being acknowledged since slavery and the Obama Presidency has been successful, bringing together black and white."
"Thank you, Trevor, for making him smile like that. Gawd, I miss him!!"
"Wow! Talking to Barack Obama and making him laugh. Man what does that feel like?!"
"Love it when President @BarackObama laughs!! The impact that you and First Lady @MichelleObama continue to have will never be forgotten!"

The TV host showed his American audience how South African police deal with people who do not wear masks amid the pandemic. In the clip Trevor posted this week, the star also told his fans about the story of Rwandans who broke the curfew or who were caught not wearing a mask.
The Rwandans told how they were sent to stadiums for long overnight lectures about the dangers of the coronavirus. Noah captioned his video:
"Africa does NOT mess around with Covid safety. People are getting publicly roasted and sent to coronavirus lectures when they don't comply."
