Bakers decorate cakes and confections that help people celebrate the great moments of life by using flavour, texture, and visual appeal to produce an edible art piece.

These bakers have now perfected their art and can now make a 3D realistic head of person just like one did for Zimbabwean journalist from the Herald, Tafadzwa Zimoyo, in his birthday.

Sharing the beautiful piece of art which is, of course, edible, Zimoyo said his colleagues surprised him with two cakes where one resemble him and the other resembles an iPhone.

"This was just a cake... thank you... I still salute Pauline Likongwe and Carl Magwaza, well-done guys that were a beautiful cake," he captioned photos of the cake.

The cake resembled Zimoyo in all manner from his skin tone to his wide nose and serious look.

His glasses and dark suit were also replicated in the cake.

The cakes design got the attention of internet users who shared mixed opinions about the cake with some even relating it to biblical events and scenarios.

Karen C Victor wrote:

"When the baker is female and she gets her inspiration from the Bible. John's head on the silver platter."

Grace Chipepe wrote

But most of them did not like the cake's concept thinking it resembled a dead person.

"Some people are going to get fired. Who does that to their boss? I almost jumped out of my skin thinking it is modern body viewing."

Tinta Muuka wrote

"Lol the person who made this cake is only a messenger from his village people, I mean the message is clear, he better start writing a will."

Mazike Zikes wrote:

"When your employees have time for their pay back ... These are the results, the cake looks as if it's crying ."
