In a statement released by the team, it was revealed that club owner Tim Suzuki found the decision to let Masilela go to be a very difficult one indeed because of the coach's rich history with the team.
“The decision to part ways with Coach Dan was not an easy one as he has a rich history with our club. Unfortunately, football is a result-driven business, and decisions such as this can only be based on results than history,” Club boss Tim Sukazi said.
Meanwhile, tweeps had this to say about the coach:

"Big up to Dan Dance Malesela for sticking to his philosophy of playing football. Too much skop en donner in the PSL.When Dan Dance gets a team with quality players it will pay off."
