Pirates remain optimistic ahead of CAF showdown ahead of Christmas

- The Orlando pirates remain upbeat and positive ahead of their clash with Angolan side Sagrada Esperança

The Orlando Pirates are feeling good ahead of their clash with Angolan side Sagrada Esperança in Luanda.

Coach Josef Zinnbauer said that the teams if focused 100% on the upcoming game and will not let distractions, such as Christmas get in the way.

Jokingly, he said that despite it being Christmas they would not be giving the opponents any gifts.

The Buccaneers are the only team to have won all their encounters and the memories of winning the MTN8 still fresh in the player's minds, they are looking forwards to the upcoming match.

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that Mamelodi Sundowns wished a fan a very happy birthday on Twitter. Piet Moima is the Chairman for Digwale PSG FC based in Mpumalanga. For his birthday, he showed off his drip by sporting a Mamelodi Sundowns jersey.

Piet shared pictures of himself in his Sundowns jersey with a caption thanking God for his birthday. Sundowns responded with: "Happy Birthday @Piet_Moima. Here’s to many more fam! P.S. The drip is looking (fire emoji)."

Piet thanked Masandawana for their joyous and sweet birthday message while another fan asked the admin of Sundowns' Twitter to send Piet a gift.

In other news, Orlando Pirates' Thabiso Monyane recently took to Twitter to celebrate finally being back on the field. Monyane found himself having to take a temporary leave of absence following the untimely injury.

He is back though and in super high spirits even taking to Twitter to say how happy he feels to be in top form and ready to conquer South African football fields with as much vigour as he can master.
