The truck driver involved in the accident on the N3 Van Reenen's pass has been arrested and a case of culpable homicide has been opened against him following the role he played in the horrific accident.
The accident occurred early this Tuesday morning and left the bus driver dead and several of the bus passengers critically injured.
According to reports, the truck driver had been attempting to make a u-turn on the road when it collided with the bus resulting in the horrific accident.
Earlier today Briefly.co.za reported that a deadly crash on the Van Reenen N3 Pass has occurred early this Tuesday morning. According to reports, the accident involved a Greyhound bus and a truck.
@RobBreezy a South African traffic reporter shared the news with his followers on Twitter, also including in the tweet that the deadly crash had left one person dead and several others critically injured.
"KZN / Free State - N3 Van Reenen's Pass (Update): #BusCrash #TruckCrash 1 Fatality so far, 2 Critical and 1 entrapped - 38 Minor injuries. ROAD CLOSED", he tweeted early this morning
